Leo Lovechild
Leo Lovechild is a songwriter, poet, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader from New York City, who is highly concerned with bridging gaps and blurring lines. “Bad Behavior” (lead single off his upcoming full-length album, released in August of 2023), is a scathing but brutally honest look at the New York art scene and Lovechild’s place within it after nearly 30 years calling the Big Apple his home. The release showcases his lyrical brilliance and furthers the scope of Lovechild and his band’s classic but innovative approach to songsmanship. He followed “Bad Behavior” with “Coming Back Around” (September of ‘23) and “The Long Game” (November ‘23). The two releases not only extend Lovechild’s prowess as a songwriter, but also showcase his and his collaborators production skills, as the songs are lush with banjo, glockenspiel, pedal steel guitar, melotrons, and synthesizers to complement the traditional rock and roll instruments present in most of his catalogue. His second full-length record, Sad Songs to Make You Happy, is set to release in early 2024.
