The Superhoot is an expanded version of the Antihoot Reboot Open Mic, (held every Monday in the Feaverdream Lounge)  This has become the new home for the NYAF (New York Antifolk) scene. The Antifolk revival which began last year, continues to grow and flourish. The Superhoot will alow performers to branch out from the usual 2 songs to a 15-20 minute mini-set. The event will be hosted by Joe Bendik, who the scene back last year, along with long time NYAF veteran and wordsmith, Jon Berger.
 
The lineup features both old and new acts And displays the healthy state of NYAF.

Joe Bendik

Joe Bendik is a NYC based singer/sonwriter/musician/producer.
 
In 1986 Bendik moved to New York City (from Pgh) and soon discovered the Antifolk scene (which started in 1984), and has been a part f it ever since. In 2019, after a nearly 5 year hiatus (due to the venue Sidewalk closing), Bendik revived the NYAF scene and it is now are now in a type of  a renaissance. He hosts the weekly Monday night Antihoot Reboot Open Mic in the FeverDream Lounge at Baker Falls, which has been growing every week.
 
His musical  influences include Dylan Iggy, Beatles , Marley & Bowie.
 
His music is streaming on all platforms.
